I have been an admirer of James T. Farmer’s interiors for years and own all of his books, so you can imagine my excitement when I learned he has another being released this summer entitled Arriving Home. Farmer’s interiors combine the rich traditions of the past with Southern sensibilities of contemporary life and his designs are trademarked with an effortless elegance, comfort and harmony. His designs are irresistible, infused with color, mixes of patterns and textures and old and new pieces, all the while preserving a sense of tradition and hospitality.

For Arriving Home, Farmer says he hopes to “inspire and illustrate how the graciousness of Southern style translates into warm interiors for our clients in homes across the country.” The book will feature ten homes and today I’m thrilled to be sharing a sneak peek with you of a few of the interiors that will be featured! Arriving Home will be available for pre-order online starting February 28 and will be released in bookstores nationwide beginning August 19th.
